Inside, you'll find a playful mix of modern, Swedish and rustic décor while being completely decked out to please animal lovers of all ages! Your backyard is an amazing oasis of barnyard animals such as an alpaca, miniature goats, fancy top-hat chickens, a red-haired pig, wooly sheep, turkeys, a mini-horse and even a peacock. Prepare to enjoy animals outside every house window and while in the backyard, try the "surfboard challenge" by landing a chicken treat on the surfboard and see if you can get them to jump up and "surf!"

*NEW!!* Enjoy the "hidden game zone" with a 1980's arcade and Velcro darts sure to please any gamers you may know! Kids also love the FREE indoor scavenger hunt activity along with learning all the animal names that are posted.

While here at the ranch, you can also enjoy one of our many on-site experiences, such as "Chores N' Tour" (feeding, watering, and caring for 20+ farm animals), "Brush N' Bond" (brushing horses together & basic ground safety), Canvas painting under the oak tree or try out my specialty, horse whispering! This stay caters to small families and couples looking to unwind in a peaceful, unique setting and engage in memorable experiences. We're also popular for surprise birthdays, wedding proposals, family reunions, Boy/ Girl Scouts, church groups, and retreats. Renting multiple units or adjacent units is easy! Just message about setting up your surprise day, renting multiple units or the entire ranch for your special event. Keep in mind, overnight guests are required to choose at least one free or paid ranch activity when booking.

FAQ's

1. What should I bring on my trip? Shelley suggests bringing drinking water, oil/ butter for cooking on stainless steel, slippers/ loafers, and campfire wood if using the firepit (or you can buy ours and have it delivered to your doorstep.) "Chores N' Tour with Shelley and feeding all the farm animals, requires closed-toe shoes such as sneakers or boots. No flip-flops or sandals are allowed for animal experiences. (Quick Note: Please leave home any bubble baths, bath bombs or salts as these are harmful on jacuzzis. Using plain water is best.)

2. Can I wander around the ranch, unattended? Keep in mind we are a small ranch and while 1/2 of our property is open, the other 1/2 is livestock pastures and other rentals. You can walk to the glampground, play a round of corn hole or the horseshoe pit area.

3. Can I access the all animals? The barndominium has its own, fenced barnyard that consists of a wooly sheep, a miniature horse, and an entire chicken coop where you can feed the chickens anytime while admiring our beautiful Indian peacock. You will also be able to see (but not touch) the turkeys, a mini pig, and an alpaca very close by!

4. This home sleeps 4 guests *including* babies & children. Have more than 4? Add 5th, and 6th guests for $25.00 for each additional person for your stay. We do not accommodate more than 6 guests max.

5. What's the history of the ranch? The property was a horse rescue for two decades. Some students take horse lessons here and the public books guided educational tours and paint parties. The ranch also produces a small amount of alpaca fiber and sheep wool that's sold yearly.

6. Can friends and family visit me while I'm at the ranch? No. The only people permitted to enter the property are registered guests. The public cannot access the property and we have a coded entrance gate. As a guest, you can expect to see other guests here, not people walking in off the street.

7. Can I catch a UBER or LYFT? Yes! You can easily catch a ride to Ocean City, Maryland, or beyond. You'll need to be picked up at the entrance gate, not at the barndominium. How about food delivery? Yes! Order Doordash or pizza delivery. Just plan to meet your driver at the entrance gate, not the barndominium.

8. Is there an option for early check-ins and late check-outs? No. Because this property has multiple rentals, we do not allow early check-ins or late check-outs. All cleans are performed on time and this keeps us on schedule for the next guest. Thanks for your understanding.

9. Are activities for children a different price than adults? All of our on-site activities are the same price for everyone. While you're here, you can choose from Chores N' Tour, Brush N' Bond, Painting w/ Shelley and Horse Whispering lessons.

10. Can I bring my pet or service animals? No. We are ADA service animal exempt due to safety issues with animals on display that are natural prey/ natural predators of animals including dogs. We also not not allow pets.

11. What is the smoking/ vaping policy? We operate a strict no-smoking and no-vaping policy at all times inside all of our rentals. The Swedish Cowboy space is located inside a barn and smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited while inside the barn house or directly outside. The best place to smoke is by walking down the driveway or inside your car (away from the stable.)

12. How secure is the ranch? The property has six outdoor security cameras running and in use at all times. These outdoor security cameras help protect humans and animals alike. There's a coded entrance gate upon your arrival to the ranch and there is on-site management that is available during your stay. You cannot enter the property without a code and we ask that you do not give it out while you're here.

13. What other Airbnbs are at the ranch? There is a tiny house, two bell tent yurts, mini-huts, and an entire Old West-themed glampground at the ranch. YES! You can have friends and family rent other units and make this a group experience. You can also see all of our listings if you click our name (logo.)

14. What are the checkout procedures? We have a 5-step checkout process and ask that our guests leave the barn house the way they found it, (neat and tidy.) We love to brag about super clean guests who leave our home well cared for. You will see our checkout procedures on the refrigerator.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $100.00 cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges (less $100.00 cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
